AI Staff: how to work with your AI agent
An AI agent in AI Staff is not a chatbot but an employee with its own workplace: a server that runs around the clock, its own files, tools and a schedule. You hire it in a minute, explain the job in plain words, and it plans the work, calls the tools and reports back.

Open AI Staff
In the left menu open AI Staff and press Hire a manager at the top of the page.

Pick a specialist or build your own
Ready-made specialists come with skills and tools for a job: marketer, ads specialist, SEO specialist, scriptwriter. Build it yourself lets you choose the server size, model, MCP tools and skills by hand.

Meet your agent
Right after hiring you land on the agent page and a short tour walks you through it. The agent now lives in AI Staff next to your other AI employees.
What the agent can do
- Its own server — works around the clock, even when you are offline.
- Scheduled tasks — say “send me a summary every morning” and it will do it on its own.
- Files — creates and stores reports, spreadsheets and texts in its working folder.
- Memory — tell it about your business and how to talk to you, and it remembers.
Start in the chat and give tasks
Write to the agent like to a new employee. The first messages set the tone for all future work:

Introduce your business
What you do, who your customers are, what matters. The agent saves it to memory.

Say how to talk to you
Short or detailed, formal or casual, which language — it will stick to it.

Give the first task
For example: “review our website and suggest three quick wins for more leads”. The agent shows each step it takes.
Recurring work goes on a schedule: “every Monday at 9:00 send me a report on last week’s leads”. You will find these tasks under Schedule and Automations on the agent page.
Choose the model
The model is the agent’s “brain”: it defines the quality, speed and price of every answer. Change it in the agent’s Settings, each card shows quality, speed and cost.
For now we recommend DeepSeek: the best balance of quality and price for agent work. Pro or Flash is up to you — Pro thinks deeper, Flash is faster and cheaper.
Tools, skills and files
Everything about the agent is in the Management block on its page:
- MCP integrations — connected tools: Telegram, CRM, email and more. Add the ones the job needs.
- Skills — ready-made work methods the agent follows.
- Files — its working folder with everything it created.
- Automations and Schedule — what it does on its own on a timer.
- Access — who on your team can work with the agent.

Keep an eye on spending
The agent costs a monthly fee in tokens plus tokens for every request. It plans, thinks, calls tools and checks the result on its own, so one request can take dozens of model steps.
- Spend for the period — in the header of the agent page; switch between 7, 30 and 90 days.
- Spending statistics — by day and by model.
- Expense log — every charge separately.

Which model should I pick for the agent?
For now we recommend DeepSeek: it gives the best balance of quality and price for agent work. Pro thinks deeper, Flash is faster and cheaper.
Why did one request cost more than a regular chat answer?
The agent does not answer in one step: it plans, calls tools, reads results and checks itself. Each step is a model call, so a complex task can take dozens of them. Watch the Expense log on the agent page.
Can the agent work while I am offline?
Yes. It runs on its own server, so scheduled tasks and automations keep working around the clock.
